Pics from Glendahurk Horseshoe walk last Sunday

One of the best walks the Club has ever done, apparently. Wet and windy first half but improved a bit in afternoon. A few pics below. More on our Instagram page @roswaywalkers.

Galway Mountain Rescue-Howl at the Moon October 8th 2022

A few Club members have taken part in this event at the Galway Wind Park since it started a few years ago and found it to be a great experience. It's an important fundraiser for the Galway Mountain Rescue team, so we would encourage members to take part to support their work. Funds raised will go towards the GMRT's long-term objective of constructing a dedicated mountain rescue base.

This year's event will take place on Saturday night October 8th 2022. There are two walks- 9km with height grain of 185m or 17km  with height gain of 384m. The route is on dedicated tracks through the Wind Park, under the light of the full moon. Participants will be briefed and provided with a map. Marshals will be on hand to assist and the route is also fully signposted.

Details on http://www.howlatthemoon.ie/
Registration including info on meet point is through: https://www.eventbrite.ie/e/howl-at-the-moon-2022-tickets-400692852107 €25 per person until 17th September.
