Christmas walk and dinner Sunday 4th December 2022

Cong to Clonbur. Easy grade/forest trail. Four hours/14 km approx with shorter 10 km option. Boots/trail shoes ok.  Bus will be going. Meet Gullane's car park at 8.15am to depart 8.30am sharp. Coffee stop in Cong before start of walk. Three course meal in Fairhill Hotel, Clonbur afterwards. €30 per person, payable morning of walk. Please have correct amount ready. Change of clothes can be left on bus. Leaders: C. Dolphin, K. Ward.

Club AGM 2022

Thanks to all who attended the AGM last night in Gullane's. The 2022/23 Committee is as follows:

Note to members that the following decision was taken at the AGM:

In order to mitigate the impact on the environment and address car-parking issues, it is recommended that walkers car-pool where possible. Due to the increase in fuel costs, it is also recommended that each passenger should make a contribution of €5 for a journey of less than 20kms and €10 for a journey in excess of 20kms to the driver on the day of the walk. 

A schedule of walks was drawn up after the AGM and will be available online in the next couple of days. A hard copy will be posted to each member in the next couple of weeks. 

Club walk Sunday 20th November 2022

Kylebrack Forest walk. Car pool from Gullanes, departing 10am or meet across from The Hill Bar in Kylebrack at 10.30am. Distance: 11kms. Mainly forest track and minor roads. Boots/trail shoes ok. Leader: C. Dolphin. 

Club AGM and walks planning meeting

Rosway Walkers AGM will be held in Gullanes this coming Friday night, 18th November 2022 at 8pm. A walks planning meeting will take place on the same night to put together the walking calendar for 2022/23. 

Refreshments afterwards. All members welcome.

Local walk. Meet Dolan's Service Station, Creagh at 10.30am for 10km walk via Castlepark, Cuileen, New Line and back to start. Refreshments afterwards in Dolans. Leader: Nuala Payne.
