Places still available on a one day MI training course based in Foxford, Co Mayo on 15/01. Great opportunity for Club members who are interested in picking up some skills or building up some confidence, with a view to leading walks. Training will cover leadership, navigation & safe practice in outdoors. 10am to 5pm approx. Trainer is Iain Miller of Unique Ascents.
Course is free but attendees will need Discovery Series map 24 & preferably a Silva Type 4 compass (https://www.alpinesports.ie/equipment/navigation/silva-exped4-compass.html).
