Volunteers needed

Galway Mountain Rescue Team are looking for volunteers to assist at the Howl at the Moon fundraiser at the Galway Wind Park on 12th October. Dates for Club calendar

Registration for new and returning members will take place on Thursday 10th October and Thursday 17th October between 8 and 9pm in Gullanes (foyer).

The membership fee will increase to €60 for the 2019/2020 walking year. This is the first increase since the Club was founded in 2006.

The Club AGM will be held on Thursday 14th November, followed by the walks planning meeting on Thursday November 21st (meaning now would be a good time to start thinking about walks you'd like to propose! Support/training always there for those who would like to take the first step and lead a walk).

Further details will be posted closer to the time.

Mountaineering Ireland Autumn Gathering and Chris Bonington lecture

This year's autumn gathering will be hosted by the Kilmacthomas Walking Club from Co. Waterford and takes place from 18-20 October 2019. If you haven't attended one before, the gatherings are a great way to mix and mingle and explore new parts of the country. The gathering will be based out of the Park Hotel in Dungarvan (where we stayed there when we walked St Declan's Way in 2014!). Details/booking here MI Autumn Gathering 2019
